Stepping into Imagination: The Grand Relaunch of Our Library’s Storywalk
We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! After much anticipation, The Anadarko Community Library Storywalk in Randlett Park is making a grand comeback!
If you have yet to experience the enchantment of walking along the scenic beauty of Randlett Park’s walking path and reading the storybook pages on display, you are in for a treat. The Anadarko Community Library is relaunching the Storywalk at Randlett Park on October 7th from 10 AM – 12 PM!
We have invited community health organizations to set up along the path. Families can gain information as they walk enjoy a fun story, and children will get a free book to take home.
Can’t make the relaunch? That’s OK. You can read the story anytime you visit the park and return each month to read a new book!
Thank you to our sponsors!
The Anadarko Community Library received health literacy funding from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries through the Library Services and Technology Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to update the library’s StoryWalk displayers and purchase new StoryWalk books.
What is a Storywalk?
A library Storywalk is a creative and interactive way to combine the joys of reading with outdoor physical activity. Picture book pages are placed along a walking path in a park, garden, or other public outdoor space. The Storywalk promotes literacy, physical activity, and outdoor engagement and provides families with young children with a fun and educational outdoor activity.
Health organizations interested in participating in the relaunch event can email the library at library@cityofanadarko.org or call 405-247-7351.
