Anadarko Community Library Announces Adult Online High School
Residents of Anadarko and surrounding communities have another option available to complete their high school education through a pilot project of the Oklahoma Department of Libraries (ODL) and the Oklahoma Office of Workforce Development (OOWD).
The Anadarko Community Library and fourteen other public libraries in the state are offering a limited number of scholarships for qualifying individuals to access to Gale Excel Adult High School, an online and fully accredited High School Diploma program recognized by colleges, universities, and employers. Residents 24-years-old and older are eligible for the scholarships.
Excel Adult High School is a great option for adults who are looking for an online program that allows for flexible learning. With customizable course schedules, courses offered in over 100 languages, highly qualified instructors, and unlimited one-on-one tutoring available, the Anadarko Community Library hopes to help community members reach their goal of attaining a high school diploma. Potential students will need to pass a screening and interview before admittance into the program. Students accepted into the program have 24 months to complete coursework; however, participants can graduate in less time with transfer credits.
